The "endless plain" established 1951

The Serengeti or "Maasailand" is a 12,000 square mile protected wilderness reserve. Below are some of my favorite images with labels telling what animal they are and maybe a story.

The Ngorongoro Crater and preservation area is a world heritage sight located in the Great Rift Valley. It is a separate ecosystem located in a collapsed volcano. It is the home to a variety of African animals including the endangered Black Rhino.
